I don't know if you've heard about this, but there is a new legislation called Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act or CPSIA that says that by By February 10, 2009 a lot of baby and kid's product manufacturers, specially toy manufacturers that will be required to test for lead and other chemicals in their products.
I'm all for that and keeping our children safe; the only problem is that this legislation is too broad now, and a lot of small businesses mainly owned by stay at home moms making safe products, will have to pay for very expensive testing on each of them, we're talking around $4,000 per test, and that will definitely have a huge impact in their families and the economy and many will have to go out of business.
We at Swanky Blooms won't be affected by this legislation, and you can rest assure that our products are completely safe and have very high quality standard, but we feel for all the households and friends that are going to have a very hard time due to this.
If you want to read more about it you can do it at the following link from one of our friend sites...
